Forage production from selection WW-B. Dahl on the Texas Tech Experimental Ranch near Justiceburg, Texas, has been higher than that from other Old World bluestems tested.
Table 1. Dry forage production from selection WW-B. Dahl compared to Plains, WW-Spar and WW-Iron Master in 1988 and the average of other Old World bluestems in 1990 and 1991. Trials were under dry land conditions, seeded in a Sagerton clay loam, pH 7.1-7.6 in May, 1986.
